Evening Kev! My imagination has gone to bed already tonight so all I can suggest is New Shoes by Paulo Nutini. Happy New Year!

It's near 10:00pm. It's dark and cold. "New Dawn Fades" by Joy Division would be perfect. Happy New Year to you K, to the rest of the Freewheel team and all the listeners.

Evening. How about Billy Bragg - “A New England”? The title fits the theme and seems somehow apt politically... cheers Kev.

    Underground Elecktronics

    Saturday, from 22:00 to 00:00

Nigel Paxton presents Underground Elecktronics on Freewheel Radio.

Nigel grew up collecting punk, new wave, goth, american hardcore, alternative, avant garde, krautrock and electronic music on vinyl.

He played in indie bands in the late 80s and 90s. One of these bands, Spinkter 90210, had a track released on a compilation album in Argentina. During college in Conemara, Nigel created and hosted "Check your head", a radio show which aired for two years before running a dub and Bass night with his friend Dilean in Sligo.

While living in London, Nigel established Underground Elecktronics™, a project which aims to showcase the past, present and future of electronic music.

Elecktronics is spelled with a K before the T, as a nod to Elecktroids, a side project of Gerald Donald & James Stinson, the founding members of the Detroit Electro movement, Drexciya.

Underground Elecktronics broadcasts live from Sligo, Ireland every Saturday night on Freewheel Radio.
